Hosting
The hosting plans at SimplePlan LLC are actually quite elaborate, there are just not a lot of them. Our hosting plans have been designed to include basic features bundled together for simplicity, most of which are free and 'just there' for when you find yourself in need.
The major distinction between our two types of hosting is the support; with our unmanaged plans you are your own webmaster and site administrator, with our managed packages you have help with your initial setup and most of the webmaster responsibilities are invisible to you as they are handled by us.
Our pricing for hosting is based on the managed or unmanaged status of the hosting package and the size of space in Gigabytes you will be leasing. There are no bandwidth limitations, no hidden service call fees, no insanity; just simple easy to understand mid-level hosting for your small to medium business or personal website. There are plenty of options to explore and add to the basic two packages, but each is easy to understand and have a flat monthly rate or easy to understand monthly rate per Gigabyte.

Development
Development costs a flat rate of $30 per hour, it really doesn't matter what type of development; html scripting, server side scripting (for dynamic webpages), database engineering and creation, etc. The basic idea is if the work is done towards the development of a website then it comes in at a flat rate.
The process starts with an e-mail from you leading to a consultation period (2 free hours are allotted for this), then a bid and proposal document including discussion of layout and graphic design for your proposed site, finally the development period is entered on acceptance by partial payment of our bid. The development period consists of a live development effort which means we develop on a live server so you can check up on the progress and direction of our effort any time you want. When the development is complete you are sent an updated accounting of the hours and balance due; if the website is accepted you complete payment. If there is still work to be done work continues at $20 per hour to resolve any outstanding issues and an updated accounting of hours is sent to the customer for their approval by payment. So basically, the customer controls the process from their end by making partial payments at critcal junctions for the consultation, design, and development processes.
Consultation
Consultations are given on an as needed basis and can be about any of several topics, but most consultations from SimplePlan LLC are focused on the custom planning and design of a website to fit an individual or small business's needs. Each new website development project has 2 hours built in to the bid designated for consultation time to help get the ball rolling. Consultations are also avaliable for network solutions, resource acquisition, and just about any technology question that might be outside your comfort zone.
